Ben and Jerry's, Universal Studios Florida

7/02/2010

Neil and Lauren stopped for a snack at Ben and Jerry's ice cream parlor, located on the streets of New York in Universal Studios. This scoop shop is no different than the other Ben and Jerry's around the country, but we enjoy the creamy ice cream and other tasty treats that they offer.

Neil ordered a Berry Nice smoothie: Berry Berry Extraordinary Sorbet blended with blueberry-pomegranate juice, strawberries, and banana ($5.79). He loved this. It was sweet and tart, cool and refreshing with a thick, creamy consistency. He chose this over ice cream because it was a healthier offering with the sorbet and fresh fruit.

Lauren had a waffle cone with two scoops of Ben and Jerry's premium ice cream ($4.99): cake batter and cookie dough. Not a combo I would choose, but she thought it was delicious! The cake batter ice cream is yellow cake batter with a chocolate frosting swirl. The cookie dough is vanilla ice cream with lots of chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough.

Although she enjoyed the tasty concoction, it got messy quickly as it melted in the hot Florida sunshine.

Overall rating: Tasty, high-quality frozen treats

Would you return: Yes!
