Butterbeer was on the list of treats to try at Harry Potter, but when Neil and Lauren saw the long lines at the butterbeer cart
they decided to check out the Hog Head Bar. They found shorter lines that moved quickly and a nice cool respite from the heat.
They ordered both the frozen ($3.99) and the regular ($2.99) butterbeer, and both preferred the frozen variety (left).
Despite the name, butterbeer is a non-alcoholic drink. The frozen butterbeer has the consistency of an icee slush swirled with melting ice cream. The flavor is sort of like cream soda with butterscotch flavoring. It's really, really, really sweet and would probably be best shared - toward the end of the drink, it was just too sweet to finish.
Overall rating: Really unique drink; a must-try
Would you return: Yes
